Ask us something
Including the awkward questions. How a complaint is handled, what is written down if something is damaged, and what happens if the day overruns are all better asked before a booking than after one.
Ask how a complaint would go
It is the single most useful question to put to any removals firm and almost nobody asks it. Who would you speak to, what is written down, and what are the time limits. Ours are in the terms rather than invented afterwards.
Comparing us with somebody else?
Ask both firms whether they will survey before quoting, whether the crew who load will unload, and how many vehicles the goods will travel on. Those three answers explain most of the difference between figures and most of the difference between outcomes.
If something went wrong
Write and say so plainly, and expect to be told what happened rather than given a template. Your booking contract covers claims and the time limits on them.
