We own the domain and publish no reviews
A removals company with crews and vehicles, trading on a web address that says reviews. There is not one on this site — no testimonial, no star rating, no customer quote — and this page explains why that is a deliberate position rather than an oversight.
No memberships we do not hold, no awards we have not won, and no total of moves completed invented for a homepage.
Why no testimonials
Because a quote chosen and published by the firm it praises has already been selected, and the selecting is the whole game. Nobody puts the middling one up. Everybody knows this, everybody does it anyway, and the result is that a page of five-star quotes carries almost no information.
We could fill this site with them. Several thousand removals websites already have. What we would rather do is describe what firms are actually complained about, say what we do about each of those things, and let you check us somewhere we do not control.
What the domain is for, then
It is the word people search when they are deciding, and buying it forced a genuinely useful question: what would a removals site look like if it were organised around complaints rather than compliments?
The answer is this one. Six categories, each of them a sentence somebody has written about a removals firm, with the ordinary cause of it and the decision that prevents it. It is a less flattering sales page than the alternative and a considerably more useful one.
What we do not claim
That we never have a bad day. Every firm trading for a while has one, and a site suggesting otherwise is telling you something about its filtering rather than its standards.
We also publish no statistics. The complaint categories are the recurring ones anybody in the trade will recognise, described qualitatively. There are no percentages here because we have not run a study, and inventing one would be exactly the behaviour this site is arguing against.
And we name nobody
No competitor is named, criticised, ranked or compared anywhere on this site. The failure modes described are common to the whole trade, ours included, and a removals firm running down its neighbours is not a firm worth booking either.
How we actually work
A survey before any figure exists. A written quotation against a measured inventory. One crew and one vehicle on long-distance work, with nothing transferred at a depot. An inventory made at the property on anything stored. A walk-through of every room and outbuilding before the doors close. And one named person for the whole job, who tells you bad news at the point we know it.
Every one of those is on this site because it answers a complaint, not because it sounds good. There are no prices here and no transit times on the country pages, for the same reason: neither is knowable before somebody has looked.
